Puneet Kumar Goel, born on August 3, 1966, is a 1991 batch IAS officer of the A G M U T cadre. Currently serving as the Chief Secretary of Manipur since September 1, 2025, he holds a Ph.D. in Renewable Energy and an M.Tech. in Power Systems Engineering from IIT Delhi, along with an M.S. in Computer Networks from California University. Throughout his career, he has held various key positions including Secretary, Chief Secretary, Development Commissioner, Commissioner, Executive Director, Director, and Additional GM. He is proficient in English and Hindi and continues to serve in the Indian Administrative Service.
