Puneet Kumar, born on 25 March 1967, is an Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1993 Kerala cadre. He holds a B.Tech. and M.Tech. from IIT Delhi and an M.Phil. from Punjab University, Chandigarh. Currently, he serves as the Additional Chief Secretary at Kerala’s Local Self-Government Department since 30 July 2025. Throughout his career, he has held various positions including Principal Secretary to Government, Resident Commissioner, Secretary, Director, Joint Excise Commissioner, Chief Executive Officer, Private Secretary, Project Manager, Managing Director, Assistant Collector, and Additional Resident Commissioner. He is proficient in English, Hindi, Malayalam, and Punjabi.
