Puneet Kansal, born on 13 October 1971, is an Indian Administrative Service officer of the 1996 batch from the Sikkim cadre. He holds a B.E. in Electronics from IIT Roorkee and an M.B.A. in Finance from Amity University. Currently, he serves as Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Civil Aviation, New Delhi, since 1 April 2026. His extensive career includes roles such as Joint Secretary, Commissioner-cum-Secretary to Government, District Magistrate, Director, and Managing Director. He is proficient in English, Hindi, and Nepalese. Puneet Kansal continues to serve in the Indian Administrative Service.
