Praveen Mishra, born on January 3, 1971, is an Indian Administrative Service officer from the 2012 batch, Uttar Pradesh cadre. He holds a B.A., Diploma in French, and M.A. in Philosophy from the University of Allahabad. Currently serving as D.M. & Collector in the MAU department since January 29, 2024, Mishra has previously held the position of Chief Development Officer. Under his tenure, the city received the Five Star Garbage Free City award in the Swachh Bharat Mission (Urban) and ranked first as India’s Cleanest Medium City in Swachh Survekshan 2021. He continues to serve in the IAS.
