Praveen Kumar Laxkar, born on January 7, 1982, is an Indian Administrative Service officer from the 2012 batch, Uttar Pradesh cadre. He holds a B.A. in Arts and an M.A. in Indian History from the University of Rajasthan Jaipur, and a B.Ed. from N.A. Deemed University New Delhi Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthanam. He has served as Special Secretary and Chief Development Officer. Most recently, he was the District Magistrate and Collector at Ballia from June 28, 2024, to August 30, 2019. He has received an appreciation letter for conducting peaceful elections. He is proficient in English and Hindi.
