Praveen Garg, born on 21 October 1961, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1988 Madhya Pradesh cadre. He holds a graduate degree in Commerce and is a Chartered Accountant from The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. During his career, he served in various capacities including Secretary, Managing Director, Additional Secretary & Financial Advisor, CMD, Joint Secretary, Principal Secretary, Commissioner, District Collector, and other administrative roles. His most recent position was Special Secretary & Financial Advisor at the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, New Delhi, from January to October 2021.
