Prateek Jain, born on 25 July 1993, is an Indian Administrative Service officer of the 2018 batch, Uttarakhand cadre. He holds a B.E. in Mechanical Engineering and an M.Sc. in Biology from BITS Pilani, and an M.A. in Public Management from JNU. Currently, he serves as Managing Director at Garhwal Mandal Vikas Nigam Ltd (GMVN), Uttarakhand, since 13 February 2026. His previous roles include Joint Magistrate, Officer Trainee, District Magistrate, and Managing Director. He received awards for exceptional rescue and relief efforts during the October 2021 flash floods and for COVID management.
