Prasenjit Hans, born on December 31, 1967, is an Indian Administrative Service officer of the 2011 batch, serving in the West Bengal cadre. He holds an M.A. in Developmental Studies and an M.Sc. in Geology. Currently, he is the Senior Special Secretary in the Panchayat and Rural Development Department, with additional charge as Director of the B. R. Ambedkar Institute of Panchayats and Rural Development (BRAIPRD), a position he assumed on January 1, 2024. He continues to serve in the Indian Administrative Service.
