Prasanta Kumar Mahapatra is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer of the 1985 batch from the Haryana cadre. Born on 20 September 1958, he served in the Animal Husbandry and Dairying Department, holding the position of Additional Chief Secretary to Government from 21 August 2017. His academic qualifications include an M.B.A. in Finance, a B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Management. Throughout his career, he held various roles such as Chairman, Principal, Director General, Resident Commissioner, Chief Administrator, Joint Secretary, Managing Director, Deputy Commissioner, and several other senior administrative positions.
