Prasanna R, born on 21 November 1977, is an Indian Administrative Service officer of the 2004 batch from the Chhattisgarh cadre. He holds a B.Tech. degree in Civil Engineering. Currently serving as Joint Secretary at the Ministry of Home Affairs, New Delhi, since 21 March 2025, Prasanna has previously held the position of Secretary. He is proficient in English, Hindi, and Tamil. Prasanna continues to serve in the Indian Administrative Service, contributing to the administration under the Ministry of Home Affairs.
