Dr. Prakash Bindu, an IAS officer of the 2009 batch from the Uttar Pradesh cadre, was born on July 11, 1975. He holds a B.A. Honours in History from Patna University, and an M.A. and M.Phil. in Hindi from Jawaharlal Nehru University. Currently serving as Secretary in the Home Department of Uttar Pradesh since March 16, 2026, Dr. Bindu has held various positions including Special Secretary, District Collector, Chief Development Officer, and Secretary. He is proficient in Hindi and continues to serve in the Indian Administrative Service.
