Dr. Prakash Bindu, born on July 11, 1975, is a 2009 batch IAS officer of the Uttar Pradesh cadre. He holds a B.A. Honours in History from Patna University, and an M.A. and M.Phil. in Hindi from Jawaharlal Nehru University. Currently, he serves as Secretary in the Home Department of Uttar Pradesh since March 16, 2026. His previous roles include Special Secretary, District Collector, Chief Development Officer, and Secretary. Dr. Bindu is proficient in Hindi and continues to contribute to the Indian Administrative Service.
