Prabir Kumar, born on August 20, 1950, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1993 batch, West Bengal cadre. A graduate by education, he served in various capacities including Junior Scale, Additional District Magistrate, Joint Secretary, Director, Member Secretary, Managing Director, and On Compulsory Wait. His most recent position was Special Secretary and Director General in the Fisheries Department from January 1, 2009, to August 31, 2010. Throughout his career, he contributed to multiple administrative roles within the West Bengal cadre before retiring from service.
