Prabhat Kumar, born on 18 April 1959, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1985 batch, Uttar Pradesh cadre. He holds an M.B.A. in Business Administration and an M.B.B.S. in Medicine. Over his career, he served in various capacities including Director General, Joint Secretary, Commissioner, Managing Director, Deputy Chairman, District Magistrate, Chief Executive Officer, Vice Chairperson, Chief Development Officer, Planning Officer, Assistant Collector, and Private Secretary. His most recent position was Joint Secretary from 31 October 2014 to 30 April 2019.
