Prabhas Kumar Jha, born on April 16, 1958, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1982 batch, Uttar Pradesh cadre. He holds a B.Sc. (Hons) in Physics from Patna University and a postgraduate degree in Political Science. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including Secretary, Special Secretary, Financial Adviser, Joint Secretary, Divisional Commissioner, Commissioner, Director, District Collector and Magistrate, and Executive Magistrate. His most recent position was Secretary in the Department of Official Language from November 29, 2016, to April 30, 2018.
