Poonam Malakondiah, born on July 1, 1964, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1988 Andhra Pradesh cadre. She holds a postgraduate degree in Microbiology and a graduate degree in Botany. Throughout her career, she served in various capacities including District Collector and Magistrate, Joint Secretary, Commissioner, Principal Secretary, and Vice Chairman & Managing Director. Her most recent designation was Special Chief Secretary to the Minister in the Chief Minister's Office, effective from November 30, 2022. She has held multiple leadership roles across departments, contributing to the administration of Andhra Pradesh until her retirement.
