Ponnambalam S, born on October 3, 1985, is an Indian Administrative Service officer of the 2012 batch, assigned to the West Bengal cadre. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronics from Anna University. Currently, he serves as Senior Special Secretary to the Government of West Bengal in Paschim Bardhaman. From January 1, 2025, he held the position of District Magistrate in West Bengal. Ponnambalam is proficient in English, Tamil, and Bengali. He continues to serve in the Indian Administrative Service.
