Peeyush Kumar, born on 19 September 1973, is a 1997 batch IAS officer of the Andhra Pradesh cadre. He holds an M.Sc. in Statistics and is currently serving as the Principal Finance Secretary at Andhra Pradesh since 21 January 2025 in the Finance Department. Throughout his career, he has held various positions including Additional Secretary, Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, Joint Secretary, Commissioner, Secretary, Director, Deputy Secretary, District Collector and District Magistrate, Project Director, Project Officer, Sub Collector, Assistant Collector, and Director General of Gujarat's Income Tax Investigation Wing (DGIT(Inv.)). He is proficient in English and Hindi.
