Pawan Kumar Agarwal, born on 15 July 1961, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1985 West Bengal cadre. He holds a B.E. in Electrical Engineering and a Certificate in German. Over his career, he served in various capacities including Director, Secretary, Chief Executive Officer, Joint Secretary, Adviser, Principal Secretary, Managing Director, Financial Advisor, District Magistrate, and Additional Magistrate. His most recent role was Special Secretary in the Commerce and Industry Department from April 2020 to July 2021. He received the Endeavour Executive Award and was a Fulbright New Century Scholar on higher education during 2005-06.
