Parimal Rai, born on January 5, 1962, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1985 AGMUT cadre. He served as Chief Secretary to the Government in the General Administration Department from January 2019 to January 2022. His educational qualifications include a B.Tech. in Civil Engineering, an M.Tech. in System Management from IIT Delhi, and a PG Diploma in Ecology. Throughout his career, he held various positions such as Adviser to Administrator, Principal Secretary, Chairman, CMD, and Commissioner & Secretary. He received several awards, including the Karmaveer Puraskaar and the IIT Delhi Alumni Award for outstanding national development contributions.
