Pankaj Kumar Pal, born on July 4, 1972, is a 2002 batch IAS officer of the Bihar cadre. He holds a B.Tech. in Mathematics and is currently serving in the Rural Works Department. He was Secretary at Patna, Bihar, from June 12, 2020, to June 14, 2024. Throughout his career, he has held various positions including Managing Director, District Magistrate, Joint Secretary, Under Secretary, Deputy Commissioner, Sub-Divisional Officer, Director, District Collector and Magistrate, Municipal Commissioner, and Chairman. He continues to serve in the Indian Administrative Service.
