Pankaj Joshi, born on 19 October 1965, is a retired IAS officer from the 1989 Gujarat cadre. He holds a B.Tech. in Civil Engineering and M.Tech. degrees in Water Resources Development and Water Resources Engineering from IIT Delhi. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including Chief Secretary, Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister, Principal Secretary, Managing Director, Joint Secretary, Municipal Commissioner, District Collector, and Sub-Divisional Magistrate. Post-retirement, he was appointed Chairperson of the Gujarat Electricity Regulatory Commission (GERC) from 11 December 2025. He is proficient in English, Hindi, and Gujarati.
