Currently serving as the Principal Secretary at Haryana in the Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare since 12 June 2025, Agarwal has previously held positions including Chief Electoral Officer and Principal Secretary to Government. Proficient in English and Hindi, he continues to contribute to the administrative framework of Haryana.
