P Venugopal, born on August 1, 1961, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 2002 Kerala cadre. He holds a B.Sc. in Chemistry and an LL.B. in Law from Kerala. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including Secretary, Managing Director, Commissioner, District Collector, and Director. His most recent position was Secretary of the Sainik and Ardh Sainik Welfare Department, starting August 16, 2019. He has been recognized with awards such as the Good Service Entry, Appreciation by the Honorable High Court, and a Silver Medal for outstanding zeal and quality of service during the Census of India 2011.
