He served in various capacities including Deputy Collector, Under Secretary, Deputy Director, District Development Officer, District Collector, and Deputy Secretary. His most recent position was Deputy Secretary at Gujarat from February 1, 1988, to May 1, 1988. He was associated with the Department of Finance during his service. Mr. Vyas holds a graduate degree in English.
