He holds a B.Sc. from Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore, an M.Sc. from CCS University, Meerut, and a Ph.D. from IARI, New Delhi. Currently, he serves as Secretary in the Department of Panchayat and Rural Development, West Bengal.
