P Subrahmanyam, born on 15 July 1940, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1962 Maharashtra cadre. He held various key positions throughout his career, including Chief Secretary to the Government, Secretary, Commissioner, Principal Secretary, Managing Director, Secretary to the Chief Minister, Director, Deputy Secretary, District Collector, Under Secretary, Joint Director, and Sub-Divisional Officer. He most recently served as Secretary at Maharashtra. His educational qualifications include postgraduate studies in Social Planning, and graduate degrees in Law and Economics.
