P Subrahmanyam, born on June 2, 1953, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1983 Andhra Pradesh cadre. He holds a postgraduate degree in Economics and a graduate degree in History. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including Assistant Collector, Project Director, Special Officer, Joint Collector, Deputy Secretary, District Collector and Magistrate, Officer on Special Duty to Minister, Programme Officer Director, Programme Coordinator, Portfolio Manager, and Special Secretary to the Chief Minister. His most recent position was Commissioner & Secretary in the Urban Development Department from May 5, 2007, to September 2, 2009.
