P Renugopal, born on March 2, 1939, is a retired IAS officer from the 1984 Tamil Nadu cadre. He holds postgraduate and graduate degrees in Mathematics. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including District Revenue Officer, Inspecting Officer, Special Officer, Secretary, Director, Deputy Secretary, and Commissioner. His most recent position was Joint Secretary in the Labour and Employment department from August 1, 1996, to March 31, 1997.
