Throughout his career, he has served in various capacities including Assistant Collector, District Magistrate, Additional District Magistrate, Officer on Special Duty to Minister, Under Secretary, Revenue Officer, Sub Divisional Officer, and Secretary. Since August 20, 2025, he has been serving as the Chairman & Managing Director of the West Bengal Mineral Development and Trading Corporation. He continues to be an active member of the Indian Administrative Service.
