P M Acharya, born on 21 September 1941, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1979 Gujarat cadre. He holds graduate degrees in Law and Sanskrit, along with a postgraduate degree in Sanskrit. Throughout his career, Acharya served in various capacities including Secretary, Commissioner, Joint Secretary, Director, Deputy Secretary, Additional Registrar, Deputy Collector, and District Development Officer. His most recent position was Secretary at Gujarat from 1 April 2001 to 30 September 2001. He was associated with the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment during his service.
