A graduate by education, he served in various capacities including Deputy Secretary, District Collector and District Magistrate, Divisional Commissioner, Commissioner, and Director General. His most recent position was Secretary at Jaipur, Rajasthan, in the Department of Finance from December 8, 2010, to August 31, 2011. Throughout his career, Aggarwal contributed to the administrative framework of Rajasthan until his retirement.
