He holds an LL.B. and an M.A. Currently serving as the Additional Chief Electoral Officer in the Election Commission of India since January 9, 2024, Rao has previously held positions including District Collector and Magistrate, Municipal Commissioner, Joint Collector, and Deputy Secretary. Proficient in English, he continues to contribute to public administration within his cadre.
