P K Thakar, born on 25 February 1940, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1975 batch, Gujarat cadre. He holds a graduate degree in English. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including Deputy Collector, District Development Officer, Under Secretary, Deputy Secretary, District Collector, Commissioner, and Joint Secretary. His most recent position was Secretary at Gujarat in the Department of Finance from 1 November 1992 to 18 October 1995.
