Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including Deputy Municipal Commissioner, Deputy Secretary, Under Secretary, Registrar, Municipal Commissioner, Principal Secretary, Additional Secretary Equivalent, Vice Chairman, Additional Secretary, Commissioner, Secretary, Managing Director, District Collector, and Special Assistant to the Chief Minister. His most recent position was Additional Chief Secretary at Gujarat from 31 May 2002 to 31 January 2003, associated with the Department of Fisheries.
