P K Deshmukh, a 1995 batch IAS officer from the Maharashtra cadre, served in the Indian Administrative Service until retirement. Born on July 6, 1957, he held key positions including District Collector and Commissioner at Pune, Maharashtra, within the Agriculture and Cooperation Department. A graduate by education, Deshmukh received multiple awards such as the Shining World Leadership Award for Promotion of Organic Farming and the Leadership Award 2009 for Maharashtra. He was recognized for excellence in forming women Self Help Groups and contributed to initiatives acknowledged by the Rajarshi Shahu Sarvangin Karyakram and Zilla Parishad Kolhapur in education and sanitation.
