Dr. P D Vaghela, a 1986 batch IAS officer of the Gujarat cadre, served in various capacities including District Collector, Municipal Commissioner, Secretary, and Managing Director. He held the position of Chairperson at the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), Ministry of Communications, New Delhi from October 2020 to September 2023. Dr. Vaghela holds an M.A. in Public Management & Policy from the Institute of Social Studies, The Hague, a B.Com. from Gujarat University, and a P.G. Diploma in Business Administration from B K School of Business Management. He has received multiple awards including Best District Collector and the Census Silver Medal.
