He served in the Land Revenue Department as the Director of Census Operations. His most recent designation was Additional Executive Officer, a position he held from December 1, 1996, to May 1, 1997. Mr. Bhattacharya is a graduate and dedicated his career to public service within the Indian Administrative Service.
