P Bala Kiran, born on March 9, 1981, is an Indian Administrative Service officer of the 2008 Kerala cadre. He holds a B.Tech. and M.Tech. in Computer Science from IIT Madras and an M.A. in Public Policy from IGNOU Delhi. Currently, he serves as Joint Secretary in the Department of Personnel and Training, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, New Delhi (since October 25, 2024). His past roles include Director (Census Operations), District Collector and Magistrate, and various leadership positions. He has received multiple awards, including the National Award for Best Electoral Practices and the Best District Collector of Kerala 2016.
