Nitin N Kareer, born on March 29, 1964, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1988 Maharashtra cadre. He holds an M.B.B.S. degree in Medicine from Pune University. Throughout his career with the Government of Maharashtra, he served in various capacities including Assistant Collector, Deputy Commissioner, District Collector, Inspector General, Municipal Commissioner, Divisional Commissioner, Secretary to the Chief Minister, Commissioner, and Additional Chief Secretary. His most recent designation was Chief Secretary to the Government at Mumbai, Maharashtra. Mr. Kareer’s extensive administrative experience spans multiple senior roles within the state government.
