Throughout his career, he has served in various capacities including Director, Collector and District Magistrate, District Collector, Municipal Commissioner, and Chief Development Officer. Currently, he is serving as the Commissioner at Lucknow in the State Tax Department since 30 June 2024. Dr. Bansal continues to contribute to public administration in Uttar Pradesh.
