Dr. Nirupama J. Dange, an IAS officer of the 2007 Maharashtra cadre, was born on April 13, 1978. She holds an M.B.B.S. from MM C, Mumbai, an LL.B. from Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad, and a postgraduate degree from the London School of Economics. Currently serving as Joint Secretary at Maharashtra since September 15, 2025, she is part of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Department of Registrar General and Census Commissioner of India. Her previous roles include Director (Census Operations), Additional Commissioner, District Collector, Managing Director, and Chief Executive Officer. She is proficient in English and Marathi.
