Nirmaljeet Singh Kalsi, a 1984 batch IAS officer of the Punjab cadre, served in the Indian Administrative Service until his retirement. Born on June 13, 1959, he held the position of Additional Chief Secretary in the Agriculture - Animal Husbandry and Cooperative Department from January 5, 2018, to June 30, 2019. His extensive career included roles such as Finance Commissioner, Principal Resident Commissioner, Secretary, Adviser, Joint Secretary, Commissioner, Managing Director, and Deputy Commissioner. Dr. Kalsi holds a B.E. in Electrical Engineering from IIT Roorkee, an M.Tech. in Computer Technology from IIT Delhi, and a Ph.D. in Management & Systems from Thapar
