Niranjan Kumar, born on March 1, 1978, is an Indian Administrative Service officer from the 2007 batch, West Bengal cadre. He holds a B.A. and M.A. from L.N.M. University Darbhanga. Currently, he serves as the District Magistrate cum District Election Officer at Purba Medinipur since March 23, 2026. His previous roles include Secretary, Joint Secretary and Project Director, Special Secretary, District Officer, Additional District Magistrate, Sub Divisional Officer, Assistant Magistrate, and Registrar.
