Neelam Shammi Rao, born on 30 March 1968, is an Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1992 batch, Madhya Pradesh cadre. She holds a B.Tech. in Electronics from Moti Lal Nehru National Institute of Technology. Currently serving as Secretary at the Ministry of Textiles, New Delhi since 30 December 2024, Rao has held various key positions including Commissioner, Director General (Training), Principal Secretary, Chief Executive Officer, Managing Director, Chief Vigilance Officer, and District Collector. Fluent in English and Hindi, she continues to contribute to public administration in her ongoing service.
