Special Secretary, Science and Technology Department
Nazmul Alam, born on May 6, 1942, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1984 batch of the West Bengal cadre. He holds an LL.B. in Law and a postgraduate degree in English. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including Under Secretary, Joint Secretary, and Special Secretary in the Science and Technology Department. His tenure as Special Secretary spanned from December 29, 2000, to May 31, 2005.
