He holds a graduate degree in Political Science and a postgraduate degree in English Literature. Over his career, he served in various capacities including Deputy Divisional Commissioner, Sub-Divisional Officer, Additional Registrar, Additional Secretary, Special Secretary, Director General, Secretary, and Principal Secretary. His most recent position was Principal Secretary in the Home Department from 7 May 2013 to 31 December 2016. Pandey’s extensive administrative experience spans multiple senior roles within the Jharkhand cadre.
