Naresh Kumar, born on November 18, 1963, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1987 batch of the AGMUT cadre. He holds degrees in Mechanical Engineering (B.E.) and an M.B.A. in Business Administration. His distinguished career includes serving as Chief Secretary to the Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi from December 1, 2023, to August 30, 2024. Throughout his service, he held various key positions such as Joint Secretary, Managing Director, Chairman & Managing Director, Additional Commissioner, Commissioner & Secretary, Chief Electoral Officer, Director, Deputy Secretary, Assistant Commissioner, and Chairperson.
