Namit Biswas, born on November 1, 1951, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1993 batch, West Bengal cadre. A graduate by education, he served in various capacities including Additional District Magistrate, Joint Secretary, and Special Secretary in the Health and Family Welfare Department. His tenure as Special Secretary spanned from July 24, 2008, to January 31, 2011. Throughout his career, Biswas contributed to administrative functions within his cadre until his retirement.
