He holds a B.V.Sc. & A.H. from Tamil Nadu Veterinary & Animal Sciences Chennai and an M.V.Sc. from Kerala Agricultural University. With proficiency in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu, he currently serves as Secretary to Government in the Industries and Commerce and Food Processing department.
