N Venkatachalam, born on 29 April 1965, is a 2005 batch Indian Administrative Service officer of the Tamil Nadu cadre. He holds an M.Sc. and a Ph.D. Currently, he serves as Commissioner at Chennai in the Land Reforms department, a position he assumed on 12 July 2023. Throughout his career, he has held various roles including Commissioner, Director, and District Collector. He remains in active service.
